Introduction
Who are We
Established in 2017, the Meteorite Lab at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST) is a pioneering facility in the United Arab Emirates dedicated to the study of meteors and meteorites. With a unique collection of around 8,000 meteorites and impactites, our lab offers exceptional opportunities for research and education. We play a crucial role in advancing knowledge of the solar system and raising public awareness about space debris and meteoric science.

Objectives
- Advance Scientific Research: Conduct pioneering studies to deepen our understanding of meteors, meteorites, and the broader solar system.
- Engage and Educate: Develop programs to inform and inspire the public about space, meteor phenomena, and the importance of scientific exploration.
- Provide Expert Analysis: Offer state-of-the-art meteorite analysis services, supporting both scientific research and public interest.
- Train Future Scientists: Equip students with hands-on experience and essential skills for thriving careers in space sciences.
