The Counseling and Psychological Support Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs organized a seminar titled "Mental Health: A Universal Human Right," presented by Dr. Humaid Al-Haj, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Sharjah. The seminar covered the concept of mental health, mental illnesses, their causes, and the most common disorders, such as anxiety and depression, along with their treatments, including medication and cognitive behavioral therapy. It also discussed possible preventive measures to avoid the development of such disorders. The seminar was attended by a group of faculty members, administrative staff, and students from the University of Sharjah.
