During the Honoring Ceremony of Sports Teams and the College of Medicine Society
The Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, Professor Dr. Essam Ajami, affirmed the university administration's support for all students from various colleges to continue their academic and creative excellence and distinction, describing them as the nation's bright future upon whom we depend to continue building and developing with a new, modern spirit. During his attendance at the ceremony honoring the football and volleyball teams and the students of the College of Medicine Association, he added that the University of Sharjah draws inspiration from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University, in its righteous approach to nurturing students and youth, motivating them to launch their ideas and talents into the diverse fields of science, art, and creativity. He extended his congratulations to the students on their victories in sports championships, which demonstrate the high skills and techniques possessed by the university's students. In her turn, Dr. Amina Al Marzouqi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, commended the significant role played by the coaches in the Sports Activities Department. She addressed the students, saying: "Our esteemed university has every right to rejoice and be perpetually proud of you, for you are the ones who build its stature and secure its leading position among national universities. You are the ones who guide it towards excellence and quality, advancing it with your enabled competencies and skills, so that you may always live up to the high expectations you have for yourselves, and those of your families, your university, and your nation." Dr. Zainab Al Shareef, the supervisor of the Scientific Association of the College of Medicine, spoke about the activities implemented in the college, which amounted to 48 events spanning scientific, cultural, community, and recreational fields, extending her thanks and appreciation to the students who organized these activities. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean of Student Affairs awarded gold medals to His Excellency the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor. The Chancellor then distributed shields to the students of the Scientific Association of the College of Medicine and prizes to the sports teams.
