14th Sharing Experience Session- Simulation-based Education: Principles and Practice
The Medical Education Center at the University of Sharjah successfully conducted the 14th Sharing Experience Session, titled "Simulation-based Education: Principles and Practice", on January 9, 2025. This enriching session was held in collaboration with the University of East Anglia (UK) and brought together renowned experts in simulation-based learning.
This collaborative experience-sharing webinar explored the core principles and practical applications of Simulation-Based Education (SBE). Experts emphasized the effective integration of simulation into teaching practices, addressing the complete simulation cycle—from planning and briefing to debriefing and feedback. Key challenges faced by educators were discussed, along with strategies to adapt simulation activities to meet learners' diverse educational needs.
The session provided attendees with evidence-based insights and best practices to foster a safe, engaging, and impactful simulation learning environment in health professions education.
