The Language Institute Offers IELTS & TOEFL Workshops
As part of the University of Sharjah’s commitment to supporting its students and serving the Sharjah community in developing language skills and preparing for international proficiency tests, the Language Institute organized two free preparation workshops for the TOEFL and IELTS examinations.
The TOEFL preparation workshop was held on 24 August 2026, followed by the IELTS preparation workshop on 26 August 2026, both taking place in the Language Institute classrooms in the C2 Building at the University of Sharjah. The initiative also aims to strengthen the Language Institute’s role in language proficiency testing, particularly following its accreditation as an authorized Digital testing center, enabling it to provide integrated support for both test preparation and administration within the university environment. Each workshop lasted two hours and received an excellent response from students, with strong attendance and engagement. Participants were introduced to the structure of the examinations as well as key skills and strategies for approaching different question types. Following the positive response to the workshops, the Language Institute plans to introduce further initiatives and programs for students and members of the wider community, which will be announced in due course.
