Welcome to the ILHE Action Research Hub, a dynamic initiative of the Institute for Leadership in Higher Education (ILHE) that empowers educators to transform professional learning into measurable classroom impact. 

As part of the ILHE’s Communities of Practice (CoP) initiative, ILHE leads action research projects in partnership with faculty, drawing on real-world challenges and current educational frameworks to generate evidence-based solutions that improve student learning and faculty practice.

From Perception to Practice: Investigating Sociocultural Knowledge Development through Microlearning in AI-Integrated Pedagogy

This study explores how university faculty and instructors perceive and develop sociocultural knowledge—including awareness, integration, responsiveness, and collaborative reflection—while engaging with generative AI tools in their teaching practice.

Integrating Generative AI in Fine Art Education: A Two-Lane Approach to Authentic Assessment

This study investigates the effectiveness of a redesigned lighting design task, grounded in the Two-Lane Approach for Generative AI integration and principles of Authentic Assessment, in enhancing students’ ability to generate creative ideas within Fine Art education. Additionally, it evaluates students’ satisfaction with the integration of Generative AI during the prototyping phase of the task.
