
Overview
The Solar Burst Detection Alert System is an AI-powered solution developed by the Space Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) to automatically monitor and detect solar bursts in real time. Traditionally, researchers had to manually analyze spectrograms to identify these events — a process that was both time-consuming and labor-intensive. This innovative system eliminates the need for constant manual monitoring by using advanced object detection techniques to identify solar bursts with high precision. When a significant solar event occurs, the system instantly alerts researchers, enabling faster response and data analysis. This work has been done in collaboration with the Radio Astronomy Laboratory
