Introduction
Who are We
Established in 2017, the Meteorite Lab at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST) is a pioneering facility in the United Arab Emirates dedicated to the study of meteors and meteorites. With a unique collection of around 8,000 meteorites and impactites, our lab offers exceptional opportunities for research and education. We play a crucial role in advancing knowledge of the solar system and raising public awareness about space debris and meteoric science.

Objectives
- Advance Scientific Research: Deepen knowledge of meteors, meteorites, impact processes, and solar system evolution through high-quality research.
- Educate and Engage the Public: Promote understanding of meteoritics and planetary science through targeted outreach and educational initiatives.
- Provide Expert Analysis: Offer state-of-the-art meteorite analysis services, supporting both scientific research and public interest.
- Train Future Scientists: Equip students with hands-on experience and essential skills to succeed in careers in space sciences.
