Fluorescence detector is widely used in food, environmental, and pharmaceutical analysis, especially for samples containing conjugated systems.
UV detector is almost universal detector for organic compounds used to analyze pharmaceuticals, nucleic acids, proteins, and therapeutic drug testing.
Electrochemical detection (ECD) is an extremely selective and sensitive detection technique that is applied in several analyses especially compounds prone to oxidation and reduction.
- Gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC-MS)
Environmental monitoring: determination of pharmaceuticals in water and soil, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons etc.
Food, beverage, and fragrance analysis.
Forensic and criminal cases: used in forensic toxicology to find poisons, steroids in biological specimens.
