Water Desalination Lab in University of Sharjah launched to provide platform to provide the water research, enhance sustainability of water resources in UAE, via innovative and energy efficient approaches of research. Fresh water is always an ever-ending demand, to have secure life in our plant. In UAE scarcity of fresh water is one of the major concerns faced day by day. The present scarcity of water demands the development of new methodology and technologies affordable in UAE to provide sufficient clean water. The water desalination lab is more focused on these deliverables, focused to do research on inventing new approaches for fresh water, developing efficient ways to treat ground water and sea water resources via developing ceramic/polymeric nano and ultra filtration methods, broad level adsorbent invention, brine management etc.
