Delegation from the Emirates Intellectual Property Association Visits University of Sharjah to Strengthen Academic and Community Partnerships

The University of Sharjah has received an official delegation from the Emirates Intellectual Property Association, headed by His Excellency Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Al Obaidly, , Chairman of the association’s board of directors, along with Dr. Sarhan Almuaini, a member of the Association, and several officials from the Association. The visit aimed to enhance prospects for academic and community cooperation in the field of intellectual property.

The delegation was welcomed by His Excellency Professor Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, and Professor Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, along with a number of officials from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies.

During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to collaborate on promoting intellectual property awareness, supporting research and innovation initiatives, and exploring specialized projects that aim to raise public awareness and strengthen the United Arab Emirates’ position in global innovation and intellectual property indicators.

Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing effective partnerships between academic institutions and community organizations to achieve sustainable development and support the national innovation ecosystem, in alignment with in alignment with the United Arab Emirates’ vision for a knowledge-based economy.
