The Sharjah Smart Center for Climate Resilience team presented an overview of the center at the University of Sharjah, outlining the latest progress in several multidisciplinary research directions aiming to address the urgent risks of climate change and extreme weather in the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Cooperation Council region. The presented projects covered tools like AI, remote sensing, and GIS, focusing on critical areas like flood resilience, stormwater management, and early warning systems. The team also detailed the center's on-going collaborations, highlighting its staff of over 30 researchers and strategic partnerships with government entities like the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
