• GIQ Platform Advanced Research Workshop – 03-Sep-25.

The GIQ Platform Advanced Research Workshop brought together several research teams from the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), Khalifa University, and the University of Sharjah to explore the platform’s advanced capabilities and its potential to support the SSCCR’s earth observation and remote sensing research initiatives. The workshop featured an in-depth overview of the platform’s mission and research support framework, advanced analytical capabilities, the UAESA satellite imagery portfolio, and a live demonstration covering platform navigation, data processing, and analysis workflows. In addition to a review of technical specifications and integration options to enable effective adoption in ongoing and future research projects.

• GIQ Platform Technical Team – 15-Sep-25

The SSCCR held an online technical session with the GIQ team. The session focused on the platform and the SSCCR team requested visible data layers for ongoing research. Engineer Rahul agreed to address restriction errors and provide the required data layers. Lastly, both teams agreed on further communication via email or a meeting for any future technical collaboration.

• A technical walkthrough session – 02-Oct-25

The GIQ team conducted an online technical walkthrough session with the Sharjah Smart Center for Climate Resilience (SSCCR), focusing on the technical aspects of the GIQ platform and its application in climate resilience research, particularly in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency.
