The Sharjah Smart Center of Climate Resilience team met with a team from the Environment and Protected Areas Authority to discuss potential collaboration in research projects between the two centers. The discussed proposed study focused on blue carbon and metal analysis within the "Al Qurm" Protected Area in Al Hamriyah. This study aims to explore the carbon sequestration potential of the mangrove ecosystem, as well as assess the concentration and impact of various metals in the area. The discussed research can potentially contribute valuable insights to regional sustainability efforts and enhance shared scientific knowledge.
