Hub Overview
The University of Sharjah Innovation Hub is an integrated platform for innovation, entrepreneurship, digital fabrication, advanced technologies, and technology transfer, established to empower students, researchers, faculty members, and entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas and research outcomes into prototypes, technologies, products, and startups with economic and societal impact.
The Hub was established as part of the strategic partnership between the University of Sharjah and e& and was officially inaugurated on 15 July 2026 by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, in the presence of Masood Sharif, Group CEO of e&, along with senior University, government, and industry officials.
The Innovation Hub provides an integrated innovation journey from ideation, design and development to prototyping, testing, intellectual property protection, technology transfer, commercialization, and startup creation.
A key component of the Hub is the Sharjah Digital Fabrication Lab (Sharjah Fablab), the first digital fabrication laboratory of its kind in the Emirate of Sharjah to join the global network of Fablabs originating from MIT Institute, USA.
