With the Congratulations of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah: The University of Sharjah Chancellor Awards 20 Faculty Members Promoted to a Higher Academic Rank

His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, relayed the congratulations of its Board of Trustees headed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University, to twenty faculty members recently promoted to a higher academic rank.

During his speech, His Excellency the Chancellor congratulated the faculty members wishing them further progress and success in their work, stressing their achievement of these promotions based on their academic performance, scientific research, and distinguished services to society. He also praised their distinguished efforts and attention to students during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also confirmed that the University's progress in international rankings within the SCOPUS database comes because of the serious and sincere work in the field of scientific research. He called on them to continue with their scientific research aimed at serving and developing society and urged them to involve students extensively in the scientific research process.

The promotions to the rank of Professor included: Dr. Ghazi Qassim Khalil Al-Khatib, Dr. Walid Abdel Mohsen Metwally, Dr. Qassem Mohammad Nasser, Dr. Nasser Khaled Al-Nawaisah, Dr. Mohammad Shams Al-Zaman from the College of Engineering. As well as Dr. Ilias Fernini from the College of Science, and Dr. Mohammad Al-Sayed Saad from the College of Computing and Informatics, Dr. Mohammad Harb Samreen from the College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Muayyad Ahmad Mohiuddin Obaidat from the College of Law,

The promotions to the rank of Associate Professor included: Dr. Walid Abdel Aziz Mohammad, Dr. Mohammad Jamal Al-Sayed Ali Arab, Dr. Mohammad Ahmad Al-Sha`bi, Dr. Iyad Ibrahim Al-Qusayr, Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Ateeq Al-Rahman from the College of Engineering. As well as Dr. Nadia Khalifa from the College of Dentistry; Dr. Hadi Radwan, Dr. Laila Sheikh Ismail, and Dr. Syed Aziz Rahman from the College of Health Sciences; Dr. Khaled Mohamed Basbas from the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; and Dr. Shaker Jamal Melhem from the College of Business Administration.
