Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), the 14th Arabic Conference of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, will kick off tomorrow, Monday. The conference will be hosted by the University of Sharjah for four days and is jointly organized by the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, in collaboration with the University of Sharjah and the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and technology (SAASST). The official opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 15th.

The main objectives of the conference are to provide an opportunity for scholars and researchers to meet, exchange knowledge and experiences, facilitate communication, and enhance collaboration in the fields of research, science, technology, and education. The conference will also serve as a platform to present and discuss the latest research, studies, scientific and technological discoveries, both in person at UoS and SAASST, and online via social media platforms.

The conference will bring together an elite group of scientists and researchers to discuss numerous scientific research papers during 36 sessions, including more than 200 research papers that primarily focus on fields of astronomy, astrophysics, space sciences, technologies, space applications, global navigation satellite systems, innovation, and the Arab scientific heritage in astronomy. The conference will also include specialized workshops to discuss the latest findings within the fields of astronomy, space, and technology.
