The Institute of Leadership in Higher Education (ILHE) at the University of Sharjah is delighted to announce the launching of Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) train-the-trainer program in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The first cohort of faculty participating in the program consists of four distinguished scholars with a research interest in AI from four colleges at the University.

Prof. Maher Omar, the director indicated that the Institute is excited to facilitate this program as the deployment of AI and interactive technology for enhanced educational opportunities is pivotal to the achievement of the UAE national transformation agenda and Vision 2021. Besides, cultivating and strengthening expertise in AI enables the University to keep pace with students' rapidly changing needs in the COVID-19 educational landscape and beyond.The Institute expresses its sincere thanks to his Excellency, Prof. Hamid AL Naimiy, the University Chancellor for encouraging the activation of the memorandum of understandings (MoU) signed by the University with other reputable organizations. The Institute also appreciates the office of the University's Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs for its support and Huawei for its generosity in offering this professional development training on a pro-bono basis.
