Stemming from its keenness to participate in regional and international conferences, and publish various academic research, the University of Sharjah (UoS) participated virtually in the international conference “The Heavens in the Light of the Verses of the Qur'an and Scientific Data” organized by The Turkish Supreme Council for Religious Affairs.

During the sessions of the conference, several scientific research and papers were presented by His Excellency, Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah and President of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences (AUASS), and by Prof. Mashhoor Al-Wardat, Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Sharjah, and Director of Academic Affairs at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences and Technology (SAASST).

The papers discussed the scientific interpretation of several versus related to the creation of the heavens and the earth, the possible scientific explanations of water formation, the scientific interpretation of the existence, and the possible scientific explanation of human activity in space.
