The University of Sharjah and Sharjah Human Resources Department Graduate 240 Enrollees in the Professional Diploma Programs
The Human Resources Department in Sharjah, in cooperation and coordination with the University of Sharjah, celebrated the graduation of 240 employees of 13 professional diploma programs for employees of government agencies in the eastern region, and for job seekers from the city.
His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the Human Resources Department, honored the graduates accompanied by His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, and Prof. Radhi Al Zubaidi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Mahmoud Al Hammadi, Director of the Khorfakkan Customs Center, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Director of Branch Affairs in the Human Resources Department, and Saif Daifis, Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Department.
In a speech, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim, Chairman of the Department, congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of the program. He stressed the importance of these professional diplomas in enhancing skills and enriching the knowledge that supports the employees in their career field, and those seeking jobs in their fields.
He added that they realize the development of the human element is one of the most important priorities that contribute to preparing future generations and that set in the mind and within the strategies of the Sharjah government emanating from the high vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the development of knowledge, skills and abilities of the national cadres to cope with local and global developments and challenges.
His Excellency stressed that the Department pays great attention to implementing professional diplomas for government employees and job seekers who hold university degrees from various disciplines and for all educational levels, in coordination and cooperation with the University of Sharjah, as it is one of the most prestigious universities at the global level, in the field of training the necessary competencies, which are able to cope with current and future challenges. This is done also in light of sustainable development within a scientific methodology and specialization and clear foundations, where the graduates will form a scientific methodology breakthrough towards the various work sectors to achieve more excellence, success and creativity.
His Excellency expressed his thanks and appreciation to the University of Sharjah, represented by the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development, and all government agencies involved in the professional diploma programs, and to all employees and job seekers affiliated with the program, wishing them success in their scientific and practical lives.
On the side of the University, Prof. Radhi Al Zubaidi presented the highest congratulatory meanings to the graduates of employees and job seekers with all the meanings of pride. He said that on this day, the University celebrates the graduation of a new constellation that progresses in life after having been provided with everything they need to meet the requirements of this life of knowledge within the University of Shajah's environment, whose mission is based on excellence in everything it offers to its students of science and knowledge required by labor markets, and is framed by a global scientific renaissance that has been built and directed by its President His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. His Highness supported the University until it reached the major global achievements in terms of academic, scientific, technical and sustainability status. The five-year plan for professional diplomas for employees and job seekers in the Emirate of Sharjah was an idea formulated and blessed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi. He then extended congratulations to graduates who have completed the requirements of professional diplomas, each according to his specialization, because the professional knowledge that they have received in the professional diplomas and whose effects will be reflected on the departments or institutions in which you will work, will result in a significant impact on their work places.
He explained that this constellation of graduates represents only the thirteen programs that were implemented in the eastern region and that the number of participants was 240 in the following programs: Professional Diploma in Legal and Administrative Affairs, Professional Diploma in Environmental Inspection, Professional Diploma in Customs Inspection, Professional Diploma in Inspection, Professional Diploma in Social Responsibility, Professional Diploma in Banking Services, Professional Diploma in Tourist Guidance, Professional Diploma in Preparing Government Leaders, Professional Diploma in Social Work - Group One, Professional Diploma in Social Work - Group Two, Professional Diploma in Advanced Information Technology, Professional Diploma of Supervisory Nursery, and Professional Diploma in Government Communication and Electronic Media.
He added, all of these goals have been confirmed in the scientific accumulation and professional culture of each learner in the programs and on the teaching and training hours received by the students during the implementation period under the supervision of a group of competent and experienced professors from the faculty members at the University of Sharjah. One of the indicators of interest in these programs is the competition between the trainees to obtain the highest scientific assessments, where competitive grades were given on the basis of competence, participation and research conducted by each trainee and evaluated by a scientific committee of professors in all programs.
What distinguishes these diplomas, he continued, is that the participant is required to conduct research in his field of work and this research is supervised by a university professor with the knowledge that the research constitutes 50% of the evaluation degree.
