The University of Sharjah Strengthens Cooperation with French Academic Institutions and Hospitals in Medical and Health Sciences Fields
The University of Sharjah received a delegation from the UAE French Embassy representing a group of academic institutions and hospitals in France to enhance joint cooperation in the medical and health sciences fields, as well as clinical training programs, student exchanges, and French language teaching. Prof. Qutayba Hamid Al Heialy, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of College of Medicine, received the delegation along with Dr. Salah Taher, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs. The delegation included Prof. Anne Dwieri-Bani, Deputy Cultural Advisor to the French Embassy, and Dr. Guillaume Hort, Advisor to the Regional Health Office at the French Embassy.
For his part, the Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences indicated that the University teaches a large group of qualified students prepared to take on such challenges and scientific experiments, and that it provides them with the most recent laboratories, devices, and clinical centers for training and practicing medical professions in the field, and it is home to the best language institutes that also teach French.
The Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs added that the University has the latest programs at the undergraduate and graduate studies levels as it holds joint cooperation agreements with local and international institutions and universities in the various offered fields and disciplines, as well as the latest research centers equipped to support scientific research that serves the community.
