The Branches of the University of Sharjah Present to the Chancellor their Performance Results of the Strategic Plan
His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, met with the academic and administrative heads of the University's branches in order to present and discuss the results of the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the strategic plan of the branches. They provided detailed reports on the KPIs in accordance with the current University strategic plan.
His Excellency the University Chancellor started the meeting by offering congratulations on behalf of the University family to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, on the occasion of the beginning of the academic year. He also congratulated the participants of the meeting and the faculty, staff, and technical staff members in the branches of the University and thanked them for their distinguished efforts during the past academic year, especially in the stage of the start of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the digital transformation of the University and its branches.
The University Chancellor also stressed the need to develop courses and teaching methods in line with the mentality of the student and the needs of the labor markets, stressing the need to adhere to the precautionary measures during the coming period, and to follow them strictly because safety is a shared responsibility.
As for Prof. Adnan Ibrahim Sirhan, Assistant Chancellor of Branch Affairs, he thanked the Chancellor of the University for his attention and unlimited support for the branches, and also thanked the Vice Assistant Chancellor of Branches Affairs, and Heads of the various departments in the branches, then reviewed the great move he said that the branches witnessed in the digital transformation by holding many training courses for faculty and staff members, and he stressed that the University branches met many KPIs for the current strategic plan.
Dr. David Carter, Director of the Office of Strategic Planning, talked about the current strategic plan for the branches, reviewing many of the current KPIs such as: how to reduce the number of students receiving academic warnings, students not delaying their expected graduation date, increasing the number of academic advising hours, and the extent of student participation in the Colleges' activities aimed at community service, then he talked about the development plans and measures taken by the University to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
