Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Presides Over the Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Female Students of the University of Sharjah
This Sunday morning, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, President of the University of Sharjah presided over the graduation ceremony for 681 undergraduate female students from various colleges at the University of Sharjah. The event was held at the University City Hall.
The ceremony commenced with a rendition of the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Professor Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, delivered a speech expressing gratitude and congratulations to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his patronage of the event and extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and their families for their support and dedication.
Reflecting on the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, Professor Al Naimiy stated, “We celebrate the graduation of an outstanding group of young women equipped with knowledge, skills, and noble values, ready to excel in the workforce. This milestone is a testament to the foresight of the University's founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, whose vision has elevated the University of Sharjah to become a leading academic institution locally, regionally, and globally.”
Professor Al Naimiy concluded his remarks by urging the graduates to embrace perseverance, dedication, and continuous learning in their future endeavors. He emphasized the invaluable role of the graduates’ parents in supporting their education and acknowledged their sacrifices and unwavering support.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, female graduate representative, Sheikha Al Ketbi from the College of Communication extended her heartfelt gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for founding the University and to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his continuous support.She described the University as a beacon of knowledge and innovation, saying, “This institution was not merely a dream but a strategic vision to raise a generation capable of tackling future challenges and achieving excellence in all fields. Today, we are proud to be part of a university where knowledge flourishes, ambitions grow, and creativity is nurtured.”
Sheikha Al Ketbi also thanked the University’s administration, faculty, and the graduates’ families for their guidance and support. She concluded with a message to her fellow graduates, encouraging them to be ambassadors for the University, overcome challenges, and contribute to shaping the future.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi personally presented degrees to graduates of bachelor’s degree programs in various disciplines, including business administration, communication, humanities and social sciences, computing and informatics, public policy, sharia and Islamic studies, sciences, fine arts and design, law, and engineering. He congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their professional journeys.
In a touching gesture, Sheikh Sultan presented a certificate of appreciation to the family of the late Huda Sultan, who passed away shortly before completing her studies. Her dedication and academic achievements were honored during the ceremony.
