With the aim of exploring the University of Sharjah's participation in a number of environmental and sustainable activities, Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University, received Habiba Al Mar'ashi, President of the Emirates Environmental Group. This in the presence of Dr. Salah Taher, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs, along with Dr. Imad Alsyouf, Director of the Sustainability Office and leader of the Sustainable Agriculture Education Circle and the Creative Sustainability Initiatives Circle. The meeting reviewed the efforts made by the University of Sharjah to achieve a sustainable community and university environment, and the achievements that were made in this area at the local and regional levels. The meeting then discussed the opportunities available in the field of sustainability between the University and the Emirates Environmental Group, including participation in a number of competitions that are implemented in this field, in addition to the participation of faculty members in research on strengthening the culture of sustainability in universities.
