Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi Attends the Launch of the 6th Sharjah Human Resources Conference
Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated at the University of Sharjah's Colleges of Medicine and Health Sciences the 6th session of the Sharjah Human Resources Conference, which is held under the title "Future of Human Resources".
Experts and specialists in the field of human resources discussed in this Conference a number of topics related to the future of human resources in light of the challenges facing them, the effects of globalization on the human resource and social life and how to maintain the sustainability of human resources.
The Conference addressed four themes: the future and the sustainability of human resources, the effects of globalization on the human resource and social life, the human resource in light of digital economic development, innovation, knowledge and forward-looking future generations.
Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Head of the Human Resources Department and Chairman of the Supreme Committee organizing the Conference, delivered a speech in which he extended his sincere thanks and great gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support of the work of the Conference.
He pointed to the importance of the conference and its themes in discussing the future of human resources and the recommendations that will come out from it that will serve the human element and address current challenges.
Bin Khadim also pointed to the keenness of the Human Resources Department in Sharjah to support human resources as it represents the backbone of sustainable development, finding solutions and supporting the labor market with capable human cadres.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, stressed that the UAE's interest in human capital began with the first beginnings of the Union and was adopted by its wise leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and his brothers the rulers of the Emirates.
His Excellency thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his great support and interest in human resources in general and national cadres in particular, based on his firm belief in the importance of the human factor and the results of investment in it.
He pointed out that the UAE's experience constitutes a unique model for investing in man and a beacon of incubation for creativity and innovation, and it was and still is a forerunner to provide all the capabilities and technical tools necessary to serve the human capital and adapt the techniques of artificial intelligence and the outputs of the fourth industrial revolution to serve it in order to enhance its international leadership in all fields.
Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, pointed out that the tremendous scientific and technical development we are witnessing today that have entered all aspects of life, including human resources management and keeping pace with the major development requirements witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah and within the prevailing civilization and technical standards, modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, smart cities and smart technology applications, smart machines, drone and many others, in which human resources have played a pioneering role in their production and works to develop them and ensure their viability.
The Chancellor added that the introduction and use of these technologies in the daily and executive works of human resources has become an obsession for the University of Sharjah and the departments, institutions and bodies in the Emirate of Sharjah not only to store big data but to ensure safe, fast and accurate access to it, indicating that training and continuing education on these technologies through short training courses or diplomas is a firm foundation and we have to focus on it to ensure the qualification of a new generation that is capable of these technologies and armed with the tools necessary to implement them, and even fully knows how to analyze and read them and all the requirements for them, which has formed continuous challenges for the cadres of human resources.
