Does the College of Graduate Studies admit students with a CGPA of 2.5 / 4.0 or less in the bachelor’s degree?
2.5 out of 4.0 is the minimum CGPA requirement for the new admission in all master’s program.
When will the student be informed of his acceptance

After the end of the period of receiving applications, applications are forwarded to the concerned academic department for further scrutinizing in order to select the eligible students for admission according to the admission criteria set by the bylaws of the University. Then, the selected students will be informed of their acceptance or rejection in the program before the beginning of the semester.

Are there evening classes?
Classes are conducted at the morning in the Main branch. In other University branches, Morning classes are for female students and evening classes for male students.

How are the fees paid?
After the student is informed of his/her acceptance, he/she registers the courses and it is done with coordination with the university’s finance department.

Does the college of graduate studies admit students that are transferring from other universities, or students that have higher diplomas to complete a master’s program offered in the college of graduate studies?
Yes, the college admits those students, but according to the executive bylaws and regulations of the University of Sharjah. The student can contact the College of Graduate Studies to obtain specific information.

Can the student postpone the study?
Yes, the student can apply for postponement through the College of Graduate Studies but it must be after the end of the first academic semester.

Are there other criteria, besides the admission requirements, that are taken into consideration during the overlook of admission applications?
Yes, for the College of Graduate Studies set a policy for accepting applications in all of its offered programs and it is the policy is reviewed annually, based on the recommendation of scientific committees of the colleges.

Are expatriates accepted in the programs that the college of graduate studies offer?
Yes, any student can apply for admission through the College of Graduate Studies.

Can the student refund the fees?
The student can get a refund for the fees (Full or with deduction) and that is during the add and drop period with a review from the financial department.

Can a student transfer from a program to another after receiving the letter of acceptance in a program?
After the student is accepted in a specific academic program, it is not possible to transfer to another program. It is possible to submit a new admission application.

Does the College of Graduate Studies provide scholarships?
The College of Graduate Studies provides scholarships to its student on a competitive basis.

Does the College of Graduate Studies provide a student visa to those enrolled in one of its programs who are from outside the UAE?
Issuing a student visa is not of the authority of the College of Graduate Studies but the admitted student can submit his admission letter to the Immigration Department to get the visa..
