Nursing Students Perceptions and Utilization of ChatGPT in Theoretical and Clinical Learning: A Cross-Sectional Study

This study explores the use of ChatGPT as a learning tool among nursing students in a university in the United Arab Emirates. Another objective is to examine how students integrate ChatGPT into both theoretical and clinical learning activities and to assess its impact on their academic performance and skill development. Additionally, the goal of this study is to identify challenges and barriers students encounter when using ChatGPT, as well as the perceived benefits of its integration into nursing education. The study further investigates students’ ethical concerns regarding AI use and their perceptions of faculty support and institutional initiatives. The findings aim to provide insights into students’ adoption of AI tools, highlight opportunities for responsible integration, and guide universities in designing effective training and policies to support innovative learning approaches in nursing education.
