Experience of Emirati military male students regarding barriers and facilitators to enrolling in nursing programs: A qualitative content analysis
The primary objective of this research is to explore the barriers and facilitators to nursing education enrollment among male military students in the UAE. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the findings are organized into two main categories: barriers and facilitators, which are further divided into key subthemes. By identifying the specific challenges this group faces alongside the factors that encourage their enrollment, this research provides valuable insights into gender diversity and nursing education. Ultimately, the findings highlight the need for cultural shifts within nursing institutions, enhanced support systems for military students, and targeted strategies to promote a more diverse nursing workforce
