As part of International Breastfeeding Week, nursing students from the Maternity and Newborn Nursing course at CHS, UOS, organized an event at University Hospital Sharjah themed "Celebrating the Beauty and Power of Breastfeeding." Aimed at educating and supporting visitors, patients, and hospital staff, the event highlighted breastfeeding’s health benefits for both mothers and children. This experience was invaluable for the students, enhancing their skills in health teaching, community involvement, and event organization. They developed educational brochures, models, and posters to facilitate interactive discussions and resource sharing, promoting awareness and support for breastfeeding. The event not only fostered community engagement but also demonstrated the students' commitment to empowering families and building healthier communities.
