Dr. Leena R David, Faculty, Department of Medical Diagnostic Imaging, conducted a community service awareness session on breast cancer for mothers and teachers of Gulf Asian School, Sharjah on 26.10.25. The session aimed to improve understanding of breast cancer prevalence, risk factors, early signs, and available screening and treatment options. Emphasis was placed on the importance of early detection through breast self-examination and regular screening mammography. Participants were educated on medical imaging techniques used in diagnosis, including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. In addition, the opportunity for free screening mammography at Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah was shared for a specific period of time to encourage timely and proactive health behavior among participants.
