Awareness, Knowledge, and Attitude toward the National Organ Donation Program among Faculty, Administrators, and Students at the University of Sharjah
This cross-sectional study assessed 67 faculty members’ perspectives on organ donation. While knowledge levels were high (91% recognized brain death as legal death), emotional and cultural concerns persisted. Only 46% felt comfortable initiating donation discussions. The study emphasizes the need for culturally sensitive education and awareness campaigns to strengthen organ donation advocacy.
