Food Safety Knowledge, Attitude, Practices, and Culture Among Food Handlers in Khorfakkan City (Sharjah, UAE).

Foodborne illnesses impact millions of individuals and are primarily linked to improper food handling. The risk of foodborne diseases and contamination increases significantly when food hygiene practices and knowledge are insufficient. Foodborne illnesses are widespread Public Health issues throughout the world. Food handlers working at food service establishments play an essential role in the spread of foodborne illnesses. The main causes of possible outbreaks of foodborne illness are frequently linked to food handlers' inadequate attitudes and behaviors toward food safety. The aim of this study is to: Assess the Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) of food handlers in various food service establishments based in Khorfakkan City, Sharjah UAE. A cross-sectional study with a structured questionnaire, including questions related to food safety Knowledge, Attitude and Practices, as well as, socio-demographic characteristics, focused on food handlers, will be conducted.
