25th Cycle Of The Inter College Environmental Public Speaking Competition
As a student in the Department of Environmental Health sciences, I had the opportunity to participate along with my colleagues representing the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Sharjah, in the 25th Cycle of the Inter-College Environmental Public Speaking Competition, organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).
Our team proudly achieved 7th place among 17 teams representing universities from around the world. We delivered a stage performance addressing the topic “Cosmetics and Clothes: The Environmental and Socio-Economic Footprint,” highlighting the significant environmental and social impacts associated with these industries. This experience was both rewarding and insightful, allowing us to raise awareness on an important global issue while strengthening our public speaking, teamwork, and communication skills.
