World Heart Day

On September 29, 2025, senior-level students from the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Program conducted an educational session in celebration of World Heart Day at Rosary School in Sharjah. The session aimed to raise awareness about heart health and the importance of nutrition and lifestyle choices in preventing cardiovascular diseases.

As part of their academic coursework, the students developed and delivered interactive content highlighting the role of balanced diets, physical activity, and stress management in maintaining heart health. They also discussed the impact of high-sugar and high-fat diets, the importance of reading food labels, and practical strategies for adopting heart-healthy eating habits.

The event concluded with an engaging quiz and myth-busting activity, allowing participants to test their knowledge and differentiate between popular nutrition myths and evidence-based facts. The initiative sought to empower adolescents to make informed dietary choices, encouraging habits that support lifelong cardiovascular and overall well-being.
