University of Sharjah Researcher Wins Prestigious NMSS 2025 Research Grant
Dr. Alham Al-Sharman, Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Sharjah, has been named one of the six recipients of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) 2025 Research Grant.
Her award-winning project focuses on advancing patient-centered neurorehabilitation by harnessing digital health innovations, including augmented reality-based training programs designed to enhance both cognitive and motor functions in people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The recognition places the University of Sharjah among a select group of institutions across the UAE working to transform the landscape of MS research. It also underscores the growing role of UAE universities in driving innovation in healthcare and rehabilitation science.
