Asma Al Mahri, a student from the Department of Sociology at the University of Sharjah, has won the Impactful Projects category at the Youth Award for Scientific Research and Innovation, held under the theme “With Youth, We Can”. The award was presented under the supervision of Dr. Noura Al Karbi.

The winning project received widespread praise from external evaluators and community institutions participating in the exhibition. Notably, it was the only project representing the social sciences among a diverse range of competing scientific and technological disciplines. This distinction highlights the vital role of social sciences and their meaningful contribution to addressing development and sustainability challenges.
