A meeting with a delegation from the Department of Arabic Studies at National Changchi University in Taiwan.

On October 21, 2025, the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Prof. Zahia Salhi, held a meeting with a delegation from the Department of Arabic Studies at National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taiwan.

During the meeting, both parties discussed avenues for academic and cultural cooperation and exchange between the two universities, explored potential areas of collaboration, and reviewed the mechanisms each university employs to promote Arabic studies in terms of language, history, and culture.

Each side presented the academic programs offered at their respective institutions and the possibilities of making them available to students and scholars in the event of mutual knowledge exchange. The Taiwanese delegation was also briefed on the University of Sharjah’s journey in teaching Arabic language and culture to non-native speakers, as well as the successes achieved in this field.

Both parties exchanged publications relevant to the nature of the meeting, expressing hope for future collaboration that supports the mission and strategic vision of both universities.

The meeting was attended by a group of academics and stakeholders from both institutions.
