Participation of PGRS Student in SEG Workshop “New Resource Exploration in the Arabian Peninsula: Charting the Future of Unconventional and Transitional Energy Resources”

PGRS student Mohamed Janko attended the SEG Workshop on “New Resource Exploration in the Arabian Peninsula: Charting the Future of Unconventional and Transitional Energy Resources”, held in Abu Dhabi from 28–30 October 2025.

The three-day workshop, organized by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), focused on innovative geoscience approaches for exploring unconventional and transitional energy resources such as geothermal energy, hydrogen, helium, and carbon capture (CCUS).

Attending the workshop gave Mohamed the opportunity to learn from leading experts and gain insight into the latest technologies shaping the future of resource exploration in the region.

A special thanks to Dr. Hamdan Hamdan for sharing this opportunity with the students and encouraging their participation in professional geoscience events that enhance learning beyond the classroom.
