The Petroleum Geosciences and Remote Sensing Program successfully conducted a series of field trips throughout November to key geological locations in Ras Al Khaimah, providing students with valuable real-world exposure to the diverse geologic settings of the northern UAE. These trips were organized as part of the program’s geology courses, including Stratigraphy and Structural Geology, Paleontology, and Sedimentary Rocks and Sedimentology.Led by Dr. Daniil and Ms. Asma Al Naqbi, the field trips offered students a unique opportunity to observe, analyze, and interpret geological features directly in the field. These field activities strengthen students’ observational skills, geological mapping abilities, and interpretation techniques while reinforcing classroom concepts through hands-on learning.
