PGRS Graduate Students Achieve Top 5 Ranking in IBA-AAPG International Competition
Graduate students from the Petroleum Geosciences and Remote Sensing Program (PGRS) at the University of Sharjah have achieved an outstanding milestone in the IBA-AAPG International Competition. The UoS team secured a position among the Top 5 university teams in the Middle East and was honored with the Best Team Award, standing out as the only university team representing the UAE in this prestigious global petroleum geoscience competition.
The team members include Zeinab Abdirazaq, Abdulaziz Alshamsi, Anes Zennagui, and Ndeye Ndao, whose dedication and academic excellence contributed to this remarkable success.Originally planned to be held in Jordan, the competition was conducted online on April 21 due to prevailing circumstances. This achievement reflects the high standards of academic excellence and research capability within the PGRS program at the University of Sharjah.
