GeoKashtah 2026 – PGRS Community Gathering and Alumni Engagement Event

On 3 February 2026, the Geo-Club hosted GeoKashtah 2026 at a family farm in Al Zubair, Sharjah. The event brought together undergraduate students, alumni, and faculty members from the Petroleum Geosciences and Remote Sensing (PGRS) program, along with several Physics students. The gathering created a warm, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere for the wider academic community.The strong turnout of PGRS alumni was a key highlight of the event. Their participation emphasized the importance of sustaining long-term engagement with graduates and maintaining strong program–alumni connections. Events like GeoKashtah provide a valuable platform for strengthening professional and social ties, exchanging experiences, and fostering a meaningful sense of belonging to the PGRS community. This continued engagement supports mentorship opportunities, networking, and long-term career development.The gathering was held in a relaxed outdoor setting from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The program began with a BBQ dinner, followed by a light session showcasing semester highlights, student activities, and achievement videos. The evening concluded with interactive games involving students and faculty members, further enhancing the spirit of collaboration and community.Overall, GeoKashtah 2026 was well attended and effectively strengthened connection, collaboration, and continuity within the PGRS academic and alumni community.
