On 15 February 2026, students and faculty from the Department of Applied Physics & Astronomy (DAPA) participated in an educational field trip to Buhais Geological Park. The visit allowed students to explore the region’s rich geological heritage, observe unique rock formations, and learn about the geological history of the UAE.During the trip, participants engaged with interactive exhibits and outdoor geological trails that highlighted tectonic activity, fossil records, sedimentary structures, and the evolution of the local landscape. The activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of geoscience concepts through real-world observation and hands-on learning.The field trip provided an enriching experience that strengthened students’ practical skills and deepened their appreciation of the UAE’s natural geological environment.
