Prolactin-Derived Peptides as Emerging Mediators Linking Cancer and Thrombosis
The Department of Applied Biology organized the second seminar in its 2025/2026 Research Forum series on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Khalid Bajou, Department of Applied Biology, who presented an engaging talk titled “Prolactin-Derived Peptides as Emerging Mediators Linking Cancer and Thrombosis.”
Dr. Bajou discussed recent insights into the dual role of prolactin-derived peptides in tumor progression and coagulation pathways, highlighting their potential as therapeutic targets in cancer-related thrombosis. The seminar sparked meaningful scientific discussions among faculty and students, continuing the department’s efforts to promote research excellence and knowledge exchange following the successful launch of the series last week.
