Forensic event
BIOS, with the support of the Department of Applied Biology and the Department of Computer Science, successfully organized a forensic-themed interactive event. The event was designed around a murder mystery and transformed the venue into an engaging crime scene, featuring interactive booths, games, quizzes, and forensic challenges. Students had the opportunity to explore how concepts from Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Bioinformatics are applied in real-world forensic investigations. Through a series of engaging activities, participants experienced different aspects of crime-solving while learning about the scientific tools and techniques used to analyze evidence and identify suspects. Crime scene props and decorations were used adding an authentic touch to the experience. The event brought together students from different academic backgrounds, particularly Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, creating an enjoyable and collaborative environment that combined scientific learning with entertainment.
