Applied Biology Research Forum Kicks Off with Insightful Presentation by Prof. Ismail Saadoun

The Department of Applied Biology successfully held the Applied Biology Research Forum on November 05, 2025. The session featured Prof. Ismail Saadoun, who delivered a scientific presentation titled “Inhibitory Metabolites from Streptomycetes, their Optimal Production Conditions, Purification, and Activity Against MDR-Pathogens.” The lecture highlighted the significance of Streptomycetes-derived metabolites in combating multidrug-resistant pathogens, along with an overview of the optimal production and purification strategies for these bioactive compounds. This forum represents part of the department’s ongoing initiative to foster research dialogue, encourage collaboration, and strengthen scientific exchange among faculty and students.
