University of Sharjah Student Recognized Among Top Ten in EU Essay Competition
The University of Sharjah is proud to announce that International Relations and Diplomacy student Majduleen Al Ali (Year 4)
has been ranked among the top ten participants in a prestigious essay competition organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the United Arab Emirates,
as part of the EU Outreach Facility for the GCC Project.
In a message addressed to the University’s academic leadership, the Delegation extended its sincere appreciation and congratulations to the University of Sharjah for the exceptional quality of submissions received. The essays explored the theme of strategic cooperation between the European Union and the UAE, demonstrating a deep and multifaceted understanding of critical areas such as trade relations, energy transition, water governance, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, youth engagement, cultural diplomacy, health innovation, and regulatory alignment.
The EU Delegation praised the students’ ability to combine academic rigor with forward-looking reflections, noting that several submissions stood out for their innovative ideas, strong structure, and alignment with EU strategic priorities.
Special recognition was given to the University of Sharjah’s Judging Panel, whose efforts in reviewing and evaluating the essays were instrumental in maintaining the high standards of the selection process.
