The College of Pharmacy at the University of Sharjah organized an educational visit to Julphar (Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries) in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, on September 25, 2026. The visit provided third-year pharmacy students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing and an opportunity to connect their academic knowledge of pharmaceutics and dosage forms with real-world industrial practices.

The visit began with an introductory session highlighting Julphar’s history, pharmaceutical products, and manufacturing operations. Students then toured several manufacturing facilities, including Julphar VI for oral liquid dosage forms, Julphar I for solid dosage forms, and Julphar X for semisolid dosage forms.

Through direct exposure to large-scale pharmaceutical production, students gained valuable insights into industrial manufacturing processes and the production of different pharmaceutical dosage forms, reinforcing concepts covered in their academic studies.

The College of Pharmacy extends its appreciation to Julphar and its team for their hospitality and for providing students with this valuable educational and professional learning experience.
