Ruba Amjad Zenati from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Sharjah received second place for her poster presentation at the 6th SEHA International Clinical Pharmacy Conference, held from September 25 to 26, 2026.

Her award-winning poster, entitled “Untargeted Plasma Metabolomics Reveals Systemic Metabolic Alterations Associated with Diabetic Retinopathy in a UAE Cohort,” presented research investigating metabolic changes associated with diabetic retinopathy using untargeted plasma metabolomics. The research was conducted under the supervision of Professor Mohammad H. Semreen.

This achievement highlights the research excellence and scientific engagement of College of Pharmacy students and reflects the College’s continued commitment to supporting high-quality research, student development, and participation in scientific and professional forums.
