Dr. Jalal Taneera’s master’s student, Ola Al Shehadat, won thirdplace for her poster presentation at the UAE Graduate StudentsResearch Conference 2024 (UAEGSRC), held on 24th April2024. The poster was based on a paper co-authored andsupervised by Dr. Jalal, titled “HSD17B12 is a novel geneinvolved in the regulation of pancreatic β-cell function”. Dr. Jalalplayed a role in guiding and supporting Ola throughout theresearch process.
