Workshop on “Publishing in Scopus-Indexed Journals”
On October 22, 2025,, Dr. Shadi Alshdaifat delivered a highly impactful workshop titled “Publishing in Scopus-Indexed Journals” as part of an ongoing Graduate Research Skills Workshop Series directed at graduate-program students. The event took place online and attracted an exceptionally high number of attendees from across master’s and doctoral programs.
The workshop focused on critical strategies for identifying reputable Scopus-indexed journals, navigating submission requirements, improving manuscript quality, and understanding the peer-review process. Dr. Alshdaifat emphasized practical tools and tips that early-career researchers can adopt to enhance their publication success and academic visibility.A standout feature of the session was its strong engagement with students from diverse disciplines participating actively in discussions, Q&A rounds, and real-time exercises.
Many attendees highlighted the workshop’s relevance to their research milestones, especially in preparing publishable articles that meet international indexing standards, noting that the high turnout reflects both the growing interest among graduate students to publish in high-impact international journals and the importance of acquiring specialized skills for academic research excellence.
Plans are already underway to host follow-up sessions that build on this topic, including hands-on manuscript review clinics and journal selection tutorials, further supporting the graduate research community’s aspirations.
